Weathering- Breaks down rocks into smaller pieces

Different types of Weathering -Chemical Weathering- the process that breaks down rock through chemical changes. -Physical Weathering- process by which rocks one broken down into smaller pieces by external conditions.

Types of Chemical Weathering -water -oxygen -carbon dioxide -living organisms -acid rain Types of Physical Weathering -frost heaving and wedging -plant roots -friction and impact -burrowing animals -temperature changes
